Friends, I don't know if you watch Project Runway, but tonight's challenge was for the designers to create their own fabric. Over and over, they said things like, "This is an opportunity that most designers only dream of" and I wanted to say, "Not so! Don't you know about Spoonflower?"
Spoonflower is a site where you can upload your design and have your own fabric printed. In addition to ordering your own designs, you can post them for others to view and order. There are a TON of awesome fabrics there. It's now one of my go-to's if I'm looking for something really creative or hip.
I still love Project Runway (and Vivienne Tam, tonight's guest judge, is one of my favorite print designers), but I wish they gave more chances to fledgling companies like Spoonflower that make design accessible to all of us.
